Scott F. Ghertner, CPM, PCAM, CCIM
President
Scott graduated from the University of Texas in Austin, Texas in 1989 where he received his Bachelor of Business Administration with a specialization in Real Estate and Urban Land Development. He worked for two years at Trammell Crow Residential in Atlanta, Georgia before returning to Nashville to work at Ghertner & Company in 1991. In 2002, Scott and his brother assumed ownership and management of Ghertner & Company.
Scott's focus at Ghertner & Company is development of new business and management of current clients and Community Association Portfolio Managers. Scott was the 1998 President of Greater Nashville Chapter 71 of the Institute of Real Estate Management. He served as the 2001 President of the Tennessee Chapter of the Community Associations Institute (CAI). He currently serves on the Legislative Action Committee for CAI.
Steven A. Ghertner, CPM
Co-President Emeritus
Steve graduated from the University of Texas in Austin, Texas in 1986 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. In 1988, he earned his Masters of Science in Management from Georgia Institute of Technology and completed the Graduate Certificate Program in Computer Integrated Manufacturing Systems.
Steve worked from 1987 through 1993 at the Clorox Company as a Senior Engineer where he was responsible for the electrical and computer control systems for a continuously operated industrial facility. Steve joined Ghertner & Company as a Vice-President/Property Manager in 1993. In 2002, Steve and his brother assumed ownership and management of Ghertner & Company. Steve’s focus at Ghertner & Company was company operations and management information systems while he served as Co-President with his brother. Steve retired from Ghertner & Company in September 2023

Felecia Berry
Director of Homeowner Service Center
Felecia graduated from Tennessee State University with a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition. She brings to Ghertner over 35 years of customer service expertise and operations management leadership. Felecia joined Ghertner & Company in 2019.
Betty Corvin, RHM, COS, ARM, CPM Candidate
Regional Property Manager
Betty, a native of Elizabethtown, KY, has been affiliated with Ghertner & Company’s apartment management division for 30 years. She is a Certified Occupancy Specialist (awarded by IREM), a Registered Housing Manager (awarded by NCHM), and has served on the Kentucky HUD Multi-Family Housing Conference committee. Betty attended Elizabethtown Community College and A-Pass Weikel Institute in Louisville, KY. In 2014, she was appointed as Regional Apartment Manager for our company.
Jennifer Henry
Director of Human Resources
Jennifer, a Tennessee native, graduated from the University of Tennessee Knoxville with a Bachelor of Science in Human Resources Development. She obtained her Master of Arts in Human Resources Development from Tusculum College. She is a certified HR professional with over 15 years of experience. Jennifer joined Ghertner & Company in 2021.
Andrew L. Jackson, Jr.
Director of Information Technology
Andrew joined Ghertner & Company in 2016 as the Director of Information Technology. His technical leadership and management experience extends across multiple disciplines and industries of Information Technology with emphasis in: Strategic & Operational Technology Planning, IT Infrastructure Design & Implementation, Enterprise Architectures, Project Management and Process Improvement. A native of Chicago, he holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and a Masters of Business Administration. He is also an active board member for the Nashville Rescue Mission.
Jaye Kloss, CMCA, AMS, PCAM
Director of Social Media & Marketing
Jaye joined Ghertner and Company in 2007 as a Community Association Manager. Jaye studied Business Management at San Diego University. She has over 20 years of property management experience in the Nashville area and has a strong financial/accounting background. Jaye was promoted to Team Lead in 2018 at Ghertner and Company.
Kent Knapp
Director of Ghertner Maintenance & Remodeling
Kent joined Ghertner & Company in 2013 as the Director of Ghertner Maintenance & Remodeling. A native of Michigan, Kent graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management. He has over 25 years of combined hands-on and managerial construction experience in multiple aspects of the construction industry including single family custom home construction, multi-family construction, light commercial construction, and remodeling.
Angie Petty, CPA
Controller
Angie has worked in corporate finance and accounting for over 30 years in both privately and publicly held companies. She holds both a Master of Arts in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Business. Her background includes time in a wide variety of industries including healthcare, distribution and global outsourcing. She specializes in controls, process improvement and scalability. As a native Nashvillian, Angie is excited to work for a successful and growing locally owned business. Angie joined Ghertner & Company in 2022.
Henry Puckett, CMCA, AMS, PCAM, Realtor
Director of Developer Relations
Henry, a native Tennessean, graduated from Emory & Henry College with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business and Accounting. He has been active in Real Estate and property management for over thirty years and is an active licensed real estate broker in Tennessee, Florida, and Alabama. Before joining Ghertner & Company in 2008, he worked for Wyndham Vacation Resorts in property management for over seven years at such locations as The Smokey Mountains, St. Thomas U.S.V.I., San Antonio, Texas and Nashville, TN. Henry is a past Board of Director for the Tennessee Chapter of the Community Associations Institute. He currently serves as a Board member for the Foundation for Community Association Research (FCAR) and is on the Board for the Nashville Chapter of the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) and a current candidate for his CPM designation.
Dorothy Ratliff, CMCA, AMS, PCAM
Director of Business Development
Dorothy graduated from the University of Alabama with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Resources Management. Prior to joining Ghertner & Company in 2014, she owned her own rental and association management business. Dorothy has been very active in her community and served on the Boards of Directors of several civic organizations where she earned various community awards and recognitions. Her career in condominium and association management spans 30 years.
Dr. Angela K. Stone, CMCA, AMS
Director of Education & Development
Dr. Stone holds a Doctor of Education degree from Tennessee State University, with an emphasis on Foundations & Curriculum. Angela joined Ghertner & Company in 2016 and was promoted to the Community Association Manager Team Leader role in 2019.
Kathleen Sutherland, CMCA, AMS, PCAM
Director of Board & Outreach Training
Kathleen earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science at Nazareth College of Rochester, and a Diploma of Advanced Studies in Government from the University of Manchester, England.
After Kathleen joined Ghertner & Company in 2001, she earned the CMCA, AMS and PCAM designations from CAI. As a manager, she specialized in managing condominium communities. In 2003 she became the first Manager Team Lead and over the years has developed the Ghertner & Company Leadership Training Program for Board members. She also developed a class for real estate professionals on community associations. She served on the CAI-TN Board of Directors for six years, and was president of the Chapter in 2007.
Deborah Wallace, CMCA, AMS
Director of Administration
Deborah joined Ghertner & Company in 2005 as an assistant to the Community Association Managers, and she had the additional responsibility of managing one condominium community. Early in 2010, she was promoted to a full time Community Association Manager and in 2015 was promoted to Community Association Manager Team Leader & Administration. Deborah attended Tennessee State University and has ten years of experience in property management and over thirty years of experience in administrative support.
Theodora Winkler
Director of Accounting - Community Association Management
Theo, a graduate of Belmont University with a Major in Accounting joined Ghertner & Company in 1986 in the Finance/Accounting Department. Since that date, she has risen to head of the Community Association Management Accounting Division, where she oversees the accounting and finance services to the condominium and homeowner associations managed by the firm.
